2009 Theme: Snowmen, Angels & Stars

Date: Saturday, December 5th, 2009 at 1:00 pm

Line-up at Park Middle School - floats line-up between 11 am and noon; children can arrive between noon and 12:30. Vehicles should enter from Woodlawn Ave turning onto Park Ave. Band only line-up at Chase/Lewis lot.

Deadline for entry: Dec. 2

Parade Route: Park Ave, right onto Third Ave, right onto Neville Street, left onto Heber Street, right onto Main Street, left onto Kanawha Street, left onto Prince Street, parade ends at Police Department

Float Competition: Floats will be judged before and during the parade for use of theme, color & originality. Judges' stand will be at Jim Word Park on Neville Street. Please have the name of your group on your float clearly visible for judging. Float awards presented at Word Park.

Float Requirements: Length not to exceed 16 feet due to construction on Heber Street; height not to exceed 13 feet; width not to exceed 8 feet. Materials must be able to stand up to rain or snow. Music on floats welcome.

Santa Claus: Santa will ride at the end of the parade - no other Santas will be permitted in the parade.

Emergency vehicles welcome in the parade - please NO LOUD SIRENS!

Horses: need to be bagged

Spacing: please keep 20 feet between groups. DO NOT THROW CANDY OR OBJECTS. Someone may walk alongside to distribute.
