Great Promotion for Restaurants - Bring your best cuisine for hundreds to sample and the opportunity to judged as the area’s best!
Good publicity and fund-raiser for organizations & churches!

Be a part of the 2014 Appalachian Festival and promote your restaurant or organization during Beckley Event’s Taste of Appalachia. As one of several events planned for the festival, Taste will take place on Saturday, August 23rd from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. in Uptown Beckley. The festive block party continues to grow as one of the area’s favorite events. This year’s entertainment includes – The New River Jazz Band, John Covey Cole and the Piney Creek Canyon Band.

Local restaurants and organizations are invited to participate by setting up a booth and selling samples of cuisine. It is recommended that you price individual items under $3.00 and sampler platters for $6.00 or less because this event is intended to provide attendees an opportunity to sample several dishes. It is a great way to reach hundreds, promote your establishment, and if you are judged as the best in any of the competition categories, you’ll receive a certificate to display. 

Interested participants should complete the attached registration form and mail to Beckley Events, P O Box 5015, Beckley, WV 25801, fax to 304-256-1816, or call 304-256-1776 oor email jmoorefield@beckley.org by August 8th so we can include you in festival publicity.

* Please follow Health Department rules relative to food temperatures and bring hair restraints, stem thermometers, hand-washing station, gloves, etc.
* Food tables need to be covered by an umbrella or canopy or tent.

* Enclose registration fees: (make check payable to Beckley Events)
  ___ $10 - non-profit organizations / individuals - must obtain a health permit at Elinor Hurt Health Center on Harper Road (304-252-8531); a member of your booth should have a health card. 
  ___ No charge for Beckley Renaissance Members or Uptown businesses
  ___ $25 - Other commercial participants
