Suspicious activity is defined as “Any activity, incident, or behavior that the reporting individual feels could be a threat, risk or concern to the public’s safety and is not to be limited to known criminal activity.” Such actions could be noticed by anyone within our community, whether they be a law enforcement officer, hotel clerk or simply a concerned citizen. It is the responsibility of all of us to report such activity in a timely matter.

The WV Intelligence Fusion Center offers three different ways in which a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) can be completed.

The first is to utilize Fusion Liaison Officers (FLO) who have been specifically trained to receive and forward applicable information in the proper manner. The City of Beckley has two individuals who are designated as FLO’s, and they are:

Detective David Allard
Beckley Police Department

Kevin Taylor
Director of Emergency Services
City of Beckley
