    The Fair Housing Act (FHA) prohibits discrimination in the sale, rental and financing of housing based on race, religion, national origin, color, sex, handicap and familial status.  Those attending this workshop will review and obtain an understanding the WV Fair Housing Act (FHA), overview the laws & protected classes, laws such as WV Human Rights Act, ADA, Section 504 & etc.  The course will also discuss development and specific rules in advertisement, Realtors responsibility in housing transactions, assistance/support animals, and the LGBT Rule for HUD-funded and/or insured properties & lenders. 

         This workshop is recommended for social workers, realtors, code enforcement officials, building inspectors, newspaper and housing advertising representatives, builders, developers, case managers, social service directors, advocates, housing professionals and interested members of the community.

CLE credit hours approved for 5.20

CEU Credit hours for Social Workers approved 5.00
