Q: There's something wrong with my computer.
A: The first action anyone should take when experiencing a computer issue is to restart the computer. Often, the computer itself can correct many issues through a simple restart, with no other intervention necessary.
Q: My computer screen is black and will not respond. What should I do?
A: First, make sure that the computer is plugged into the wall, and that the computer is turned on. If you do not see any signs of activity on the computer tower, press the power button. If the computer is on but you still see a black screen, ensure that the monitor is plugged into a power outlet, that it is plugged into the computer tower, and that the monitor is turned on. If the light on the front of the monitor is not illuminated (usually green or orange), press the power button.
